Its All About Love

As another Thanksgiving weekend winds down and we look ahead to all the excitement of the Holidays maybe you can take a moment to enjoy all the love you give. Give someone ( or many someones ) some Love and watch what comes back.

After all - Its all about Love!

Giving Thanks for All the Love

Thank You for all the Love we are so lucky to receive. And Give.

Life has taught us that love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.

Learning to love yourself is perhaps the greatest love of all.

Happy ThanksGiving!

The Fine Line

Do you hate someone? Do you ever find yourself harboring hateful thoughts about someone? What is it with hate? Where on earth did we learn to hate? Is it a tool the devil uses to turn us against the most basic tenants of the Bible? Is hate a part of our DNA?

I hate my ex. Do you suppose she gives a rats ass?  If the table was turned - if she has equal hatred for me - should i give a flying ( rhymes with buck ) ?

Hate is such a huge waste of time and energy. It can drain you and rob you of time you might spend actually enjoying life. When you spend even a moment hating anyone - you are the one who loses.

How do you get past those feelings of hate? Is there an easy way to simply turn it off? To get over it and move on? People ( and insurance companies ) spend millions on therapy every year trying to process and get past the pain of divorce. Attorneys reap windfalls of cash from our break-ups.

Who wins when hate rears its ugly head? not the hater... does the target of our hatred lose anything?

Are those feelings of bitterness and betrayal doing anyone any good at all?  Maybe we just need to learn how to somehow switch those negative emotions off when they pop into our brains.  Perhaps we can learn to recognize the or acknowledge the bad thought and choose to move on to better thoughts. Maybe we can teach ourselves to learn from our losses and find something to be thankful for.

Maybe John Candy was right when he told Tom Hanks "No one ever said Love was going to be easy."  (What was the name of that movie? Splash? )
